Это персональное знание, неразрывно связанное с индивидуальным опытом. Его можно передать путем прямого контакта - "с глазу на глаз" или при помощи специальных процедур извлечения знаний. Во многих случаях, именно скрытое практическое знание - является ключевым для принятия решений и управления. Противопоставляются Явным знаниям (Explicit knowledge).
